In Class One we have begun our alphabet main lesson. My gnome friend, Xavier, has been sharing his observations about our class, pedagogical stories and his love of sounds, verses and letters. He has been going on adventures and the children have been very excited to find him in the window, on the nature table or already waiting for them when we get to the oval!
We have been practicing our body geography and fine motor skills. A particularly challenging version of ‘Incy Wincy Spider’ was learnt in which each finger is used to climb him up that water spout. Tongue twisters were attempted and mastered and the children are having much fun making sounds and exploring a world of consonants arising from their school surroundings
